Michael Joseph Monte Michael Monte has been a resident of Tamarac since 2018. His wife Melissa and three daughters Kate, Julie and Abbey have been participating in, volunteering, organizing and enjoying all things TLA. Professionally Michael is the owner operator of Fine Line Masonry Stucco & Stone Exteriors, LLC. He oversees all aspects of his contracting company operations, specializing in project coordination and site management. Attended Rowan University and grew up in Palmyra NJ. Michael has volunteered as a TLA board member since 2019 and hopes to continue working in this role to further improve and maintain our communities amenities and green spaces for all to enjoy. Thank you for your consideration.
Jeremy Pinto My name is Jeremy Pinto and I would love the opportunity to become a board member for Tamarac Lakes. Ever since I moved here three and a half years ago, I have wanted to contribute in a positive way to this amazing community. I love spending time with my family, which includes my wife Jessica and my three daughters, Lily, Addie and Mirabel. We love enjoying all that Tamarac has to offer, especially going to the lake, where I enjoy socializing with our wonderful friends and neighbors who have also chosen Tamarac as their home. In my professional life, I am an Executive Vice President at one of the largest global pharmaceutical communication companies where I lead the Talent Acquisition team. I appreciate this opportunity and hope to be able to fill one of the open Director positions on the TLA board. Thank you!
Bruno Berenato Hey Tamarac! We have been in Tamarac for the past 7 years and most recently in our current home for the past two years. I currently work for Amazon as a senior operational leader (no I can’t get you free prime or check on packages!). My prior work experience is TD Bank for 15 years, most recently as a senior leader, leading the North American Contact Center. I am also involved as a vice-chair for the Camden County Partnership for Children, and do volunteer work for the Gibbsboro American Legion as a SAL member. We just recently adopted the most beautiful little girl, Gianna, who we love more than anything. In our spare time, we enjoy to travel, visit the Jersey Shore, spend time at the lake or in the pool or just being with family and friends. After being in the neighborhood for 7 years, we wanted to volunteer time and give back to this awesome community!
Nini Waring
Nini Waring has resided in Tamarac since March 2013. She has volunteered in many capacities, most recently running to fill a board position due to an unanticipated vacancy. In under a year, Nini moved from trustee to Vice President. She has started multiple subcommittees to solve complex problems, always with 2 goals in mind:
Continue to make Tamarac the most desired neighborhood to live
Keep costs steady
She is constantly networking with neighbors and local associations to drive these 2 values.
Prior to serving on the board, Nini ran playgroup for over 5 years. She also continues to volunteer for many of the Tamarac hosted events, both in the planning and execution.
Professionally, Nini graduated from Drexel University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering. She also holds two Master’s degrees from Villanova University: one in Technology Management and one in Electrical Engineering. Some of her professional roles have included systems engineer, security architect, and security and privacy consultant. Currently, Nini is the Vice President and North American Chief Information Security Officer for the largest insurance company in the world.
Personally, Nini is married to her husband, Bob, and they have two young boys, who were born and raised in Tamarac. They actually love Tamarac so much, just last year they bought a house up the street that had their must haves and they would not have to leave! The entire family has a vested interest in the Tamarac neighborhood and being involved and active residents. Nini would like to continue to serve on the board to show her ongoing support and dedication to her favorite neighborhood.
This information will also be available at the Beach Pavilion on election night. Nominations from the floor will also take place as necessary.
Proxy Voting Information
Proxy voting is the delegation to another member (the proxy) of a voting body of that member’s power to vote in his/her (the principal’s) absence.
This is not to be confused with an absentee ballot. An absentee ballot is a ballot submitted by a principal, in that principal’s absence. TLA does not recognize absentee ballots. A proxy vote gives the proxy the right to vote on behalf of the principal in the principal’s absence. The principal can allow the proxy to vote as the proxy desires or direct the proxy how to vote. The proxy represents the principal’s selection.
Proxy is defined by the Supreme Court as “an authority or power to do a certain thing.” A person can confer on his/her proxy any power which they themselves possess. Where the proxy is duly appointed and he/she acts within the scope of the proxy, the person authorizing the proxy is bound by his/her appointee’s acts, including his/her errors or mistakes.
A proxy cannot vote when the principal himself/herself is present and votes. He/she can vote for the principal only in the principal’s absence when authorized via completed proxy form.
Where the authority conferred upon a proxy is limited to a designated or special purpose, a vote for another and different purpose is ineffective. (EX: proxy was assigned for election voting. At the election, a motion was acknowledged and voted upon. The proxy does not get to vote for the principal on this new motion.) Both the principal and proxy must be dues paying members. If a proxy form is submitted where either the principal or proxy is not a dues paying member, it will be voided and not counted.
NOTE: Proxy forms are available from a member of the nomination/election committee or when available in TidBits. Completed proxy forms must be returned by the principal to a member of the nomination/election committee 3 days prior to the election. Proxy forms will not be accepted at the election.
** For those who choose to vote by proxy: Please personally submit your proxy form to one of the following election committee member by Saturday, September 10th.
Melissa Bettner
1 Covenger Drive
609-410-2806
If you have any questions regarding this or any other aspect of the election process, contact one of the individuals listed above.
